2013- 48x36in - MIXED MEDIA ON WOOD
This is a 2 year collage diary of my psychological transformation through the use of Ayahuasca.
2013 - 38x32in(framed) - MIXED MEDIA ON MASONITE
I created this portrait of my friend after we shared a transformative 3-day hike across the Haleakala crater in Maui.
2008 - 44x55in - OIL PAINT ON CANVAS
My step-father worked for Polaroid, so I have hundreds of photos from my childhood. I often use them as reference for rendering exercises. The photographs were taken between 1976 and 1980 in Orange County, California where I grew up. The pictures have become objects of veneration for me. The first exercise I did, I called "instant paintings". Which means I painted the images in one sitting, small format, 8x10in. The purpose was to practice to painting realistically. The next exercise, I went large, 44x55in.
2006 - 12x14in - OIL ON WOOD
Part of the "Altar Egos" series. For each portrait I painted the sitter as their higher being, hero or personal icon.
2007 - 14x11in - OIL ON WOOD
This painting is from a photograph I took, in 1996, after my step-father left our family in a really shitty and dramatic way. As a method of comfort and mourning, my mother carried around a skeleton, in a skeleton costume, that she named Roy. I think it was an acronym for Rid Of You.
2015 - 18x24in - OIL PAINT ON WOOD
Ankara Remix Series
This series incorporates fabric motifs. Organic forms co-mingle with hard-edged geometry in an abstract compositions that oscillate between flat and three dimensional space. In the creation, I use both analog and digital quilting techniques. Collaged elements are layered, sanded down and painted over to give the effect of 3D space on a 2D plane.
2016 - 48x36in - COLLAGE ON WOOD
2017 - 36x24in - OIL PAINT ON WOOD
2014 - 30x40in - MIXED MEDIA ON WOOD
This is an image of magical protection mirroring the "Mano Poderosa"(powerful hand) talisman that is common on holy cards and votive candles. The hand has been used as a sign of protection throughout history.
The left-hand symbolizes the unconscious side of our minds. It is the Feminine, Lunar aspect of the being. Yin energy.

Jupiter is a reoccurring theme in my work. It is a guardian spirit and plays a protecting role in our solar system. Jupiter is associated with the principles of expansion, prosperity and good fortune. It is seen as the "greater benefic", the influence is the most positive among all of the planets.
Jupiter has 67 moons. Most of the which are asteroids drawn in by Jupiter's strong gravity. This was the inspiration for "Cosmic Treasures". Jupiter surrounded by his wealth of moons and watching over his collected treasure with his big, gleaming eye.

1998 - 20x26in - MAGAZINE COLLAGE ON BOARD
Based on Brozino's "Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time". This image is a visual commentary on the habit of women to get dragged off the path by love instead and moving forward to fulfill their personal destiny.
